Class A application question in Lynn, MA
On the application it askes if you have ever been under treatment for drug or alcohol addiction at any point in your life. If this was in the past; say five plus years ago. Will the state police have access to that information? Who is to say weather you were being treated for a past drug "problem" or were/are an "addict"? Does it matter if the "treatment" was volentary or not?

Have you EVER been at ANY point? This is a simple "Yes" or "No" question.
They are not asking for only the information that you want to share. They are asking for the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. The question is worded so that you have a choice to answer honestly or lie. Lying on the application can result in the application being immediately denied and they can charge you with perjury. My advice to you is to answer all questions honestly.
By the way, welcome to the forum.

Answer the question truthfully. If not you are falsifying an official form, and besides denial of your permit, you could be subject to criminal prosecution.

In ma, if you have an issue like this you should consult an attorney. Look up Jessie Cohan if you don't know anyone. He specializes in this area.
