    Indiana convention center and cc

    Hey guys. I have looked but could not find an answer on this one. Consulted handguns.us and still nothing. So here it goes

    I will be in IN for two separate occasions in February and both will be held at Indiana convention as well as Lucas center

    I have UT and FL non-resident CCW. can I bring my gun with me to those places?

    It is not posted, and even if it were, signs do not have the force of law in Indiana. Your permits are honored there.

    Well, assuming the state law does not preempt all other entities, you have Indiana State law, then county, and municipal codes to consider as well as the convention center and Lucas Center to consider. I would start at the state level and work my way down using official sources such as the codes themselves. For the municipal codes you might find them online and confirm with a phone call to the chief of police.

    Indiana has preemption, so why assume otherwise? Signage does not have the force of law, and the Lucas Center is not posted.

    Not being familiar with Indiana laws I try to err on the side of caution and list all of the possibilities. If Indiana has preemption then as long as the convention center is not listed as no carry he should be good to go.
