Public Restrooms and IWB holsters
Sit down, stand up? Etc?
I thought about this the other day while using the restroom at the grocery store. When sitting down, my .40 shield in the IWB holster is visible to the stall user to my right, under the stall wall, clipped to my waistband. If you can see your neighbor's shoes, then you can see their gun too. In some areas this could cause undue alarm or draw attention to you.
If this is too wierd of a topic then please disregard. Any thoughts?

Nuthin' says 'let me potty in peace' like a gun between your shoes....
Depending on the 'traffic' and the level of 'privacy', I'll unholster and place it on the TP roll, inside my britches, or underneath my arm. Most of the time, however, it stays in the holster where it belongs.

If you have a licence to carry why worry. If someone complains when you are in a stall from one stall over it seems kinda perverted that the complainer would be peeking in your stall. I have carried for over 40 years and have never has such an issue.

Sorry, my first thought is have you taken the time to look around the forum? There is a "sticky" thread which should more than answer any bathroom questions you have!

As I posted on the other thread, I carry a 642 or Colt Mustang IWB. When going in a public restroom, AKA rest stop, I remove the holster and weapon while standing, and put them in my pants pocket, then use the toilet.
After finishing, I transfer the holster to where I keep it and place the gun in it.
One final adjustment on the belt, and ready to go.

Impertinence is my middle name. Members worry about CC in just about every activity known to mankind. Threads on bike riding, hiking, swimming, in the shower, this one on the potty etal. The ONLY one I have not seen, and this is for the 24/7 CC members-----doing the obvious amorous---placing firearm adjacent to you somewhere does not count.

I don't know about anyone else, but the only thing of mine that I will allow to touch the floor in a public restroom is the bottoms of my shoes. Just how far down are you pulling your pants? I carry IWB and my gun rests at about my knee and is not visible from the next stall nor can someone in the next stall reach it without making their actions/intent known.
I wasn't quite sure why there is a "sticky" thread on restrooms but apparently there are a lot of people who have issues with properly handling their piece.

Another reason I love my belly band - it can go up when the pants go down and down when the pants go up!

Is it that time of the month again already?
The time when the potty thread gets revived, that is.

I carry always not because I go places trouble is likely, but because trouble has a habit of not staying in its assigned zone.
