Are you for limiting the number of guns a law-abiding, permit having individual can carry on his or her person?

If you were joking or being sarcastic, disregard my response.
Yup, being sarcastic. But on a more serious note, what drives me crazy, especially here in Chicago area, is news report after news report where a guy gets shot because "the gun went off." i heard a news commentary last week where some guy was drawing some analogy saying "it's just like a gun. Sooner of later it goes off." This really is the mentality out there. No one ever actually pulls the trigger, it's the gun that killed or wounded the guy. The phrase here is always "gun violence". It's never gang banger violence or bad guy violence. It's the gun that does it.

My M&P 9c has been on my side since Thursday (long weekend, family visiting), it hasn't done anything, just sits there, shiftless, lazy, not popping off...how sad

I was at my range just this morning participating in a practical pistol course where there were more that two dozen active shooters on site!! Drawing and firing at all sorts of targets. No one got shot, had a ND/AD and none of the guns went off without someone pulling the trigger!! What is going on here? By all rights this should have been a blood bath where dozens of innocent children died!!!

Clearly, you all were unintentionally using blanks, otherwise we'd be hearing about the gun-class gunbath right now on the news.

Just wanted to inform everyone not to worry about Cook County/Chicago anymore. They've just instituted a $25 tax on all weapons purchases now. Thank goodness all the thugs legally buy their weapons from gun dealers. That $25 should just be enough to make that $300-500 weapon unaffordable.

And for those few criminals who choose not to buy their guns legally I'm sure the authorities will be charging them with tax evasion.

Hmmm, blanks might explain all the misses.

None of my 3 pistols committed a crime. At no point did I feel like I needed to whip out one of my CCW's and start shooting people. And, best of all, at no point did I shoot myself with my own guns!
What is going on?? I'm scared! According to you, all of the above should have happened, but, none did!
I'm beside myself with fear and confusion. Please help!

I live outside of Chicago and I am glad they took my second amendment rights away. As a LAW ABIDING CITIZEN I will never have to worry about pulling my gun and robbing a liquor store to buy drugs and whores!

If we are going to blame the car, let's get it right. The car drowned the wrong occupant.

My High School had a rifle range in the basement of one of the buildings (it was a large school and was laid out almost like a small college campus). We had a rifle team that competed with other schools and academies in the area, and also competed at Camp Perry. When it was time to get to practice after school, we all went to a huge walk-in gun locker and picked up our rifles and ammunition. We then proceeded to walk through the halls, into another building and then down to the range in the basement. We actually managed to do this without anyone getting hurt. Now? You can't even have a rifle range in a school anymore. After all, it's for the well-being of the students. I can hear the chant of the school board now "Think of the children!"
