Wow well glad everyone came out alive.

Alex this is a pretty simple issue.

This goes back to the property owners rights. His store, his rules plain and simple. Take the hood down when going in problem solved. Don't want to take it down don't go in. The comment about he is losing business because he is not allowing hoodies? Are you serious? I guess everyone has to complain about something.

This does confirm though that a place welcoming firearms and their owners in is just as likely to be targeted as those that ban firearms in there businesses.

Late to the party here, I can't believe the store owner didn't have a gun. I don't think I have ever been in a gun store that the folks working the store were not armed..As for the hoodie, I understand where the owner is coming from. Take your hoodie down in my store please....

The BG probably had his pants down around his ankles too. Makes it hard to run from the cops. :)

    Yup.

Aggravated robbery, battery, attempted murder. Elimination of the most-violent from our midst would stop their predations, instead of the candy stripe legal two-step we do instead.

I understand the desire for no hoodies in his store. I don't think he means you can't wear anything with a hood, just that he doesn't want people with the hoods up. Either way, he has a right to make any requests he wants in his store. If you don't like it, go to another store.

    Rediculous.

A hoodie is basically the new sweater. People wear them because they are warm and comfortable. If you wish to profile people based on their choice of cold-weather clothing, feel free. Bear in mind you may be losing business as a result.

But then again, I suppose you don't see it as losing business, as in your twisted world-view the only people who wear hoodies are crackhead thugs who probably wouldn't buy anything anyway...

Sorry I'm ranting about this. I've been turned away from stores for this and much more asanine things besides.
I'm not sure you two are arguing the same point. I'm betting the guy has no problem with hoodies if the hood is down. A coat doesn't mask your face. That's obviously the store owner's concern. There is NO REASON to walk around in a gun store with a hoodie worn "hood up" that would make me very nervous. Pull your hood down!!! I don't think it's about profiling anybody.

Exactly. If we're not doing anything wrong why do we care who sees us?
