My RIA 1911 is in condition 1 at all times.
This is a discussion on What condition is your Pistol??? within the Concealed Carry Issues & Discussions forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; My RIA 1911 is in condition 1 at all times....
I carry in condition 2 most of the time.
The Glock I carry has a chambered round, half-cocked firing pin assembly, trigger safety engaged, drop safety engaged, firing pin safety engaged. Of course pulling the trigger sequentially releases all 3 safeties. Condition one-half, maybe?
Colt Commander: 1, XD9:0 sounds right to me, Ruger P97DC: 2. Have a safe and happy new year  , Lazyace1975.
CnL\'ed. 1911 is my main carry, and/or the occasional Kahr PM9 or Taurus M85 fully loaded.
Condition 2 if one of the sigs. Condition 1 if its the Kahr K9,which is DAO.
Thanks Mike...
Lot of Condition 1\'s in da house. Nice.
Happy New Years everyone, be safe.

For everyones reference, the condition system was originally developed for the 1911. Here is a list of them:
Condition 0 - A round is in the chamber, hammer is cocked, and the safety is off.
Condition 1 - Also known as \"cocked and locked,\" means a round is in the chamber, the hammer is cocked, and the manual thumb safety on the side of the frame is applied.
Condition 2 - A round is in the chamber and the hammer is down.
Condition 3 - The chamber is empty and hammer is down with a charged magazine in the gun.
Condition 4 - The chamber is empty, hammer is down and no magazine is in the gun.

That being said, I\'m not quite sure if I carry in Condition 1 or Condition 2 as it would apply to a XD-40. I do carry with one in the chamber, and a topped off mag though.
CZ75A, CZ40-P, or Seecamp DA Detonics - all Condition 2.
Happy New Year to all!
Glock 23 with one in the pipe and ten in the mag. Really need to get some standard capacity mags.
xd 9 sub 1 in the chamber 10 in the clip and ready to go when ever called upon:troll:
1911- Cocked, locked, and on safe.
everything is has one in the chamber and on safe (except for my revolvers which do not have a manual safety of course)
Well, if and when I get back to the land of freedom, I plan on building my \'dream pistol\', a 1911 based WonderBlaster...![]()
But until then, my \'crisis negotiator';) is a Taurus PT99. It is a bit worn in places from lots of hours in a holster; it needs to have the rear sight replaced due to poor CQ (the sight notch is not perfectly square); and the muzzle has a small dent on the outer periphery of the crown. (from where I dropped the barrel onto the garage floor while cleaning the field stripped pistol) And I replaced the factory wood grips with Pachmyer\'s. Other than than it is in like new condition! :D :D
Oh...Condition O with the hammer down on my Taurus, and I plan/train to cock the hammer when drawing down on a criminal.
