Just passed my CCW Class today!

I just got home from my concealed carry class and I am very excited to say I passed! I got 100% on the written part (thanks in great part to the info on this site), and I am happy with my range portion considering I have only fired a gun three times counting today. At 40 years old, I had never fired a gun until about a month ago, at which point I discovered I LOVE to shoot.

The class was great, held here in Raleigh at Eagle1 range. The instructor was Keith King and the class was lively, with good humor and some class participation to keep it interesting. It was a long day, as we had more students then he was expecting due to some registration mix ups, but he was thorough and still got us done with the range portion quickly.

I am hot on the trail of finding my first gun to buy, but I have a lot more shooting to do before I figure out what fits me best. I just had to share with my buds at DC!

Congrats!! Shooting is such fun and a great hobby, still pretty new to it myself, never a bad time to get into it. Like stated above, lots to learn, but its a fun process as well.

    Stay safe and practice often.

    Tru dat.

This is only the beginning for you. Take classes when you can. Train and practice whenever you have the chance. This is a huge responsibility you're taking on. Oh, and have fun!

Congrats Mojo. I received my CCW permit in 38 days this summer from Wake County from the day I went down and filed. Hopefully it's as quick for you.

By the way, new range planning to be built at Brier Creek in Raleigh... will be 1,000,000 times better than Eagle1.
