Congrats!! Shooting is such fun and a great hobby, still pretty new to it myself, never a bad time to get into it. Like stated above, lots to learn, but its a fun process as well.
Stay safe and practice often.
The stupidity of some people NEVER ceases to amaze me.
CC from the time I get out of bed til I get back in.

Congrats! And if you think picking out a handgun is a hot trail to follow, wait till you go down the holster trail!

This is only the beginning for you. Take classes when you can. Train and practice whenever you have the chance. This is a huge responsibility you're taking on. Oh, and have fun!

Congrats Mojo. I received my CCW permit in 38 days this summer from Wake County from the day I went down and filed. Hopefully it's as quick for you.
By the way, new range planning to be built at Brier Creek in Raleigh... will be 1,000,000 times better than Eagle1.

congratulations mojo.... shoot a lot stay safe. The only advice i will offer is when between a rock and a hard place look to the front sight for a way out.
