Not only the occurrence, but what people do when 'made'... Your default is to act guilty, cover up and scram - Perhaps this is another thread, but maybe another part of training is being a little more tactful.

You might like this one better.

Rigorously applying the spirit of "never tell", I didn't tell my spouse I was applying for my original CC permit. The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office notifies by phone when the permit is ready to be picked up. When a Deputy called, I wasn't home and the wife answered. The Deputy identified himself and asked to speak with me; I've never had dealings with any LEO, so she naturally asked why and he refused to say. Imagine the conversation when I got home...

Once when I was fairly new to carrying I was helping a volunteer community group refurbish a local theater. Do to the nature of most of the volunteers I knew it would not be cool to be made. Late in the day I had my arms full of crap from a torn out wall and was backing out of a confined space when I got bumped into, hard, on my carry side. Something heavy clattered to the floor and I froze, waiting for screams or other signs of freak out. Nothing, and I finally managed to turn around, only to find my big tape measure on the floor where it had landed. My weapon was perfectly secure and concealed, and it was just my rookie paranoia that made me think it had somehow been jostled loose.

Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side.

recently, on a quick trip to the grocery with the fiance. i get out of the car turning towards the back of the car as i shut the door behind me. as i swing my arm again to my side, i slide it over my xdm 3.8 which is at 3 o'clock in a remora to make sure i'm still covered. i wasn't. the shirt had come completely over and tucked between me and the xdm. as i pull the shirt back over the firearm i turn to my right and back to see if anyone noticed. by this time i have met my fiance at the back of the car. a lady that was about 15 feet away(when i exited the car) walking her cart was now passing us with the hugest most awkward smile. i said, "she had to have made me, no one is that nice around here.". she just laughed. i need longer t shirts as well.

My Friend's son noticed my 1911 on my hip and says, "is that your gun, can I see it! This seemed to embarrass my friend and he explained/reminded his son that he too had a gun, in his pocket. The boy replied, "yeah, but his is a lot bigger." I had to laugh...later. It did make me realize that even though my gun was under my shirt and partially in my pocket, that this little fella had no problem spotting my weapon.
