Don't feel bad! We all have different opinions based upon our own experiences. (although I was surprised when I read your original post that you were against kydex, but no worries)

I look at kydex the way I look at leather. They both provide the basis for some very excellent custom holsters when correctly worked by a craftsman.

    Thanks,
    Clay

If I had to eat a crow for every time what I knew I knew actually ended up being something I didn't know at all... Well, I'd be stuffing 'em in quantity into a pie (just like the nursery rhyme) just to get them all down!

Personally I think I'm a little more sold on kydex now than leather, but I like both! Either way, congrats on the new holster!

I sold my Fobus because I wanted something with a little more retention. I really liked it though and used it to qualify for my CHP. But, I like paddle holsters to begin with. One doesn't always have the time to thread a belt through a holster. Here's what I decided to go with:

That it is Sir....that it is. By far the most accurate and reliable subcompact I have ever had the pleasure to fire. It's my EDC.

For my J-Frames I prefer Suede and Nylon, but my 686 and Glock 23 (both carried OCC in the field) I have only KYDEX holsters. The weather resistance and ruggedness are big factors. In the field I am just too rough on leather for it to hold up. Rugged guns call for rugged holsters. Sophisticated guns call for sophisticated hiolsters!
