Crow being served..I owe a few of you an apology

In a previous post I was seeking an OWB holster for my LCP. I indicated I was not looking for any Kydex "crap"..... PS..this word was used due to things I had been told about Kydex holsters. I had never had one personally.

I have a beautiful Mitch Rosen for my LC9 mitchrosen.jpg

Here is my new Fobus paddle (yes kydex) for my LCP. I absolutely love it. fobus.jpg.

I know..entry level cheap holster but I absolutely love it for the LCP. So to those of you I offended my apology.
To Kydex: I judged you unfairly..to you my apology.

You know if you put bar-b-que sauce on it, the crow taste much better.

The quality of a Kydex product is the same as that of a leather product--dependent on materials and skill of the maker. They both have their places in the firearm world. Make sure you pluck that crow first. (The voice of experience!)

Hot sauce makes just about anything taste good.

    Nice holsters, by the way.

Actually I think Fobus holsters aren't made of Kydex.

    Here is a review:

    http://holsters.gunreviewspot.com/fobus-holsters/

"Fobus applies a lightning focus to is production and marketing strategy. It is completely committed to producing high-quality injection molded holster designs. Their marketing material and network of dealers is quick to inform that holsters from Fobus are not Kydex, but are instead made from a proprietary polymer that is better suited to long-term wear."

Brad...you may be correct..Fobus says injection molding so I can't say cause I really do not know what Kydex is or how it differs....but I really like this thing for the little LCP.

Yeah, me neither. They (Fobus) say it's better. I guess the point is you didn't want plastic. I did the same thing once and now my favorite holster is a Blade Tech Kydex holster.

Apparently Fobus uses a different material. Some kind of "RX-18 polymer" as opposed to the Kydex brand polymer. I'm not a materials engineer so I have no idea what the difference is, but to me they're both "plastic" although of course that describes a huge range of materials with varying properties.

So, you may continue to tell everyone that Kydex is crap if you like. :)

I have that holster for my LCP. I like the holster but don't use it much as the LCP is not something I carry very often.
