But I only carry two spares when the EDC is my 1911 or my P220. Al the other guns I carry with only one spare.
I just love folks that "pooh pooh" the possibility of anything negative happening to them. Folks that try to justify "why" they do what they do, to those in the majority that KNOW better. I guess life is a roll of the dice...sometimes you win an sometimes you "crap out"...I do everything in my power NOT to be the one that "craps out"...
I carry two spare mags...
I just love folks that "pooh pooh" the possibility that something negative is going to happen to them. Folks that try to justify "why" they do what they do, to [insist that others who don't do as they do are wrong, and those who feel they KNOW better.] I guess life is a roll of the dice...sometimes you win an sometimes you "crap out"...I do everything in my power NOT to be the one that "craps out"...
And as I always say, "Do whatever you feel comfortable with. Only you have to answer for it." I never tell folks what they must do or risk being considered fools.
There, I feel better.
Glad of feel better oldVet.
I have this personal comfort zone that that dictates me feeling safest when I have at least 24 or 25 rounds on me. Easier to do with my P229 than with my P220.
I carry an extra mag for the same reason I carry the gun. Not likely to need either one, but if I do, I'll probably need it pretty bad!
I bought my G19 in 1995 and have never had a jam or mag failure..... just saying
Always carry at least one spare. Lately I've been carrying 3.
I pretty much always have a couple of magazines with me... Usually the latest Guns&Ammo and a copy of Cosmopolitan... You know, so I can stay in touch with my feminine side...
...oh and I keep an extra mag of gold dots with me too :)
I carry a couple spares. Doesn't bother me so far as the weight. Since nobody knows, then nobody cares.
Besides, 46 rounds of 357 SIG ammo really should get a guy out of a bind.
I don't......... if I have my Smith and Wesson (revolver)
Always with anything that takes a mag.
I always carry at least 1 spare mag - they are easy to conceal, and I don't notice the weight at all. Lately I've been carrying one on my belt and one in my left pocket. It's not because I think I need the ammo - it's in case of a jam/mag drops out/whatever.
I can understand not wanting to, or feeling the need to carry a spare mag. Where you live, what you are doing, along with any physical issues all play a part in our decisions. Since you don't walk in anothers shoes try not to be too judgmental.
However, I always carry a spare mag. Always have and always will. It just seems like the prudent thing to do.
