First Wally World Walk!
So I picked up my permit from the Denver Police Department today and went to do the obligatory Walmart Walk and I think I figured out why this has become a rite of passage of sorts for the new CWP holder.
It is a test of your patience and temperament to see if your are truly ready for the responsibility. I mean, if you can make it through Walmart on a Saturday afternoon without drawing down on somebody, you are good to go right? Hahaha! Just kidding...sort of.
It was actually good. I felt comfortable and not at all paranoid that anyone made me. The only bad thing was that they were out of both the $19.97-100 round 115 grain FMJ Federal 9mm and the $27.97-100 round 115 grain JHP Remington. I always try and pick up a box of one or the other whenever I go to Wally World.

You weren't made because you didn't get a full Door Greeter hug and patdown... They got rid of the Door Greeters.......

Hahaha! I'm pretty happy anytime I am not getting a pat down.
My other issue is that something is obviously wrong with the camera DPD uses to take the permits tires. Both my wife and I look like some sort of weird wax statue versions of ourselves. Haha! Oh well!

We still have greeters in my store. It was an idea that was floated. It sank as quickly as a lead brick.

With all the new CC'ers determined to go to WM, that place must quickly be becoming the safest place to shop!

I don't think the WalMart walk is applicable anymore.
There are so many really weird people in WalMart these days that if you carried an AR strapped to one hip and an AK to the other hip you wouldn't stand out and no one would notice.

Well, you have the CC'ers, the OC'ers, and a steady parade of armed cops picking up shoplifters. Still, it pays to be vigilant.

If you really want your patience tried, go there in 2 weeks. Last weekend before Christmas should be a blast!

Congrats on The Walk. Try and find out when their shipments usually come in. You may get lucky and talk to someone who knows something.

Congrats on your "Wally Walk." It's a right of passage for many many new CC'ers.

The Walk is a great place to build your confidence. Newbies always think everyone can see they are carrying. At Walmart to get noticed you'd have to open carry and wear a concealed carry sash that's bright orange!

OC passed here in OK in Nov. I do my shopping at WM at 3:00 am. I "semi" OC, that meaning it's under my jacket, but the barrel & holster sort of stick out below the bottom of the my jacket. I don't really know if anyone (employees) has noticed or not, no one has seemed to stare or look at me weird.
