After hearing the speech it really sounds like he has made the decision to go after our guns. I think now it's only a matter of how his administration will attempt to do it. If I had to guess I would say expect a new assault weapons ban with magazine restrictions at the minimum( and SOON)... There will be a lot of support from the liberals after the shooting unfortunately. What do you all think?

Yup. Look for a full-on assault. Restrictions on mag capacity, ban on any semi-autos, registration, mental health checks, you name it - we're gonna see it. And anyone who objects will be vilified as hating children.

The Associated Press is reporting that U.S. Sen Diane Feinstein will introduce legislation within a few months that bans all semi-auto rifles like the AR-15 and all magazines that are have more than a 10 round capacity. She says it appears to have the votes to pass both Houses of Congress and of course we know how Obama will handle it. It's not looking good for firearms owners.

All the bans and restrictions won't solve a thing. Those only apply to law abiding people. The criminals and crazies won't pay them any heed.

It is time for all gun owners to become members of the NRA, GOA, and other gun rights organizations. We cannot go to Washington ourselves but we do have a voice. Unless we unite we cannot win. Only a small percentage of gun owners are NRA members. That has to change for the battle ahead to have a chance at success.
