For people that live in PA

Hello everyone. I am happy to say that I just got my license in the mail this past Saturday which I am ery happy about. I was wondering if you could give help with a question. I know there are places where you are not permitted to carry a weapon but not sure where they all are. I know courthouses, federal buildings, federal parks and schools, at least that is what I was told. Is that correct and is there anywhere else that you are not allowed to carry a weapon?

I'm near Pittsburgh - you got most of the list correct - but also there are some places that are posted gun-free - such as some banks, the Consol Energy Center and other "event" type locations. Rules vary by location.

Welcome to the forum. Check out the website below. It will give you a good start on places off limits.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but there was something not pointed out here regarding the Consol Energy Center.

It is public property owned by the city, and not off-limits under state law.

So where do they get their authority to ban firearms lawfully carried by licensed citizens? Does not Pennsylvania have state preemption of firearms?
