Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

The Virginia Tech shootings is NOT the greatest mass murder in the U.S. Happy land disco in the Bronx NY I believe ownd that horrible distinction. 87 homicde's Done with a gallon of gasoline. 87 innocent people gone because a drunk was jealous.

One does not need a firearm in order to commit mass murder. I know of another intentionally set club fire where 27 people perished. My point is if a person is determined to commit murder, thats what is going to happen unless someone stops it. A firearm is much more efficient at stopping a mass murder than it would be in commiting one.

I'm sure that policemen from oher jurisidctions have similar examples.

Good article, even if his facts about the Newtown shooting aren't correct. The shooter did not have a M4 Carbine, he had a Bushmaster AR15. He also stated that the shooters mother taught at the school. While she was a substitute teacher, there is no record (the last I heard) that she had ever taught at the Sandy Hook School.

The bombing of the Alfred P Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995 killed 168 people including 19 children under the age of 6. The worst mass murder on American soil by an American citizen. The worst mass murder ever on American soil was September 11, 2001 carried out by foreign nationals. Can't blame firearms for either.

    From the article

...As these and many other cases demonstrate, complying with a robber’s demand does not guarantee your safety and avoidance of being harmed...
This should give all those who conceal carry pause.

We know a robbery may have some dynamics based on the robbers motivations..but it does make me wonder if we as CC law abiding citizens need to be (Pro-Active) when a gun is produced by the BG?

In other words, take action before it's too late.

    1) Comply with the demands to a point
    2) Act like a scared little weak citizen
    3) "Conceal" your intentions
    4) Wait for the opportunity
    5) Make a great shot
    6) Finish the job!

Lost me at second largest mass murder in US history. Try second largest at a school, still wrong. Near as I can tell it is the second largest at a school with a "gun" and Virginia Tech is the second largest mass murder at a school. the largest mass murder at a school in the US did not involve a firearm.
Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around laws. Plato
