This particular piece I have several thousand rounds through in target competition and literally dozens of hours logged in tactical training, I've just never carried it. It was an Xmas gift from my father since he knows how much I've used it.

As smolck stated just aft of the hipbone and I also had to adjust the cant. I will also try the addition of the suede backing. I also have CrossBreed Super Tuck for my sometimes carry M&P 40 carried in the same location. Both of these holsters provide for a very comfortable carry.

I'm 6'1", around 215, so far, I haven't had a problem carrying upwards of a P229 IWB. The key is a good holster and a good belt. Both of which work together to keep the P229 in close to my body, even during the summer, I've been able to carry the Sig IWB under a darker colored t-shirt with no big issues.

Even though I had a good holster I always felt like I had a huge tumor on my side when I carried a P229.

Depends more on what Im wearing. Im 6'5 300lbs so for a good while my EDC even here in the summer months of Florida was a Glock 17. Not a problem. If Im just running out to Walmart real quick, just need to fill the truck up with some gas, or feel like hitting a drive-thru for dinner and then heading home and Im wearing a pair of gym shorts and an undershirt, Ill just toss my Ruger LCP in my pocket.

My three carry pistols (three only pistols, dont have funds to buy spare guns just for fun at the range) are a G17, G30, and LCP. I wear the accordingly depending on my dress. 40% of the time its one of my Glocks and my LCP as a backup in my pocket. 50% of the time its just my Glock. 10% of the time its just a LCP.

Im about as big as normal sized people get, and I dont see people bigger than myself very often, but no matter how big you are, or what you are wearing, smaller/lighter is ALWAYS easier and more comfortable.

Old, 5'10" 265 (fat too). Either 1911 Government or Commander . Sometimes, when I am feeling sort of cantankerous, a 4" N frame Smith in a Simply Rugged IWB holster. Believe it or not, all of them conceal well though the N frame does occasionally make my butt look too big...
