Already running in the Back Poarch, but if you don't hit something vital or incapacitating with a .44 Mag, caliber is irrelevent. A .38 is more than ample for SD, always has been.

This is already running. And no I think she did a great job with what she had. She survived the attack and her children are ok.

This is why I am working on the first .577 Tyrannosaur semi-auto pistol with a 35 round magazine.

Should be hitting the market soon, along with a patented OWB pancake holster that fits it nicely.

They will probably merge it. Handguns in general have lousy stopping power, some just lousier than others.

Just a guess, but I'll guess none of the hits were solid hits. Another reason for shooting COM.

Was I the only one that noticed. In the articles, they mentioned the woman didn't want her name used, then they posted her husbands name further down in the article?

Solid, center mass shots are no guarantee of immediate threat stoppage with a handgun round.

We shoot to stop. She stopped him. Just because he didn't die does not mean that her gun was inadequate. It got the job done.

Thread is already running here. Woman defends herself and children - Criminal shot 5 times and lives

Not enough posts here to merge the two, so I am just closing this one.
