Generally, unemployment offices are state or county offices. My suggestion would be not to carry there.

Perfectly legal in Colorado. In fact I have OCed at the one in Grand Junction, no one batted an eye. It would help if we knew what state the OP was in.Originally Posted by keboostman

Its in arkansas, and arkansas law doesnt specify weather you can carry there or not.
Can you carry in state or county government buildings? The law wouldn't specifically state an unemployment office but it is an office of the government... usually the state.

According to the information on handgunlaw, state offices are on the prohibited list in AR

Unemployment offices are state government. It will depend on your state laws.

The one in my town has an armed guard in it..
Here in WA, it's not on the list of prohibited places. They get federal funding, but they're state offices. That being said, it's one of the top five places on my list that I wouldn't ever be caught UNarmed.
