Question on transporting pistol across state lines(florida and georgia

I have now made a habit of checking the state's laws pertaining to carrying while travelling, AND printing a copy to hand to an officer just in case something happens. Definately a suggestion for travel through SC. A lot of LEO here don't know that you can carry in the console.

I have come to realize, that MANY LEO don't know there state's laws on CCW or travel w/ weapon.

+1 on that. In FL I keep a copy of "Florida Firearms Law" in the car with me. It even has suggested tactful wording to use with a LEO with mistaken ideas about the law so that the book can maybe clear it up w/o POing the policeman. You're set up to sue the BJ out of them if they wrongfully arrest you when you were obeying the law, but far better to simply avoid the situation to begin with.
