Glad that you're willing to choose where you spend your money...

Just keep in mind that a local tire shop most likely is not owned/controlled by GoodYear.

It may serve you better to ask to speak with the local manager and ask why the signs were put up in the first place.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but basically their signs can't stop you from concealed carrying in their store. However, they could have you arrested for trespassing. Since your weapon would be concealed, they wouldn't or shouldn't be aware of you carrying anyways.

Most likely a franchise I spent more years than I want to count in that biz ( over 30 )

Sounds like a left wing loone owner

I did in the days run some of the big corp stores , they where cowards too .

They would fire any one on the spot If they knew you where carrying.

These are the same scums that would allow us to get robbed and short in the parking lots takeing their bank deposit to bank

in the very late hours by your self.

I carrired every day I worked for those swines

Thank you for contacting our web site and for voicing your concerns. In an
effort to ensure the safety and security of our associates and customers,
we have a clear company policy regarding weapons in the workplace. The
Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. prohibits all persons who enter Company
property from carrying a handgun, firearm, or prohibited weapon of any kind
onto the property regardless of whether the person is licensed to carry the
weapon or not. Exceptions apply to on-duty law enforcement personnel.
This policy applies to all Company employees, visitors, customers, and
contractors on Company property -- including our Company-owned stores.
All Company properties have received a decal or sign referencing this
policy, and have been instructed to post it.

I quit buying Goodyear tires long ago. I found out the tires for my old Bronco (no longer have) were too soft and wore out every other year. Go to tirerack.com and buy your tires. They will ship to your home or to the shop of your choice. The first time I used Tire Rack I saved enough (even with the shipping) to mount and balance the tires. In essence I paid the same price the shops charged just for the tires and had them delivered, mounted, and balanced free. I have been using them for about 10 years now and not one complaint.

Just sent the below to Goodyear's corp email. Won't help, but I encourage ya'll to do the same. Now more than ever we need to stand up for our rights and FIGHT BACK! Just be civil.

    Dear Sir,

I was just made aware of your company policy that you prohibit firearms from your stores, including those of us who are legally licensed to do so. I wish to let you know that my currently Goodyear tire equipped Jeep (and all 4 of my other vehicles) will no longer be getting your tires installed on them. America is a free country and you are free to implement any policy you see fit, however I am free to disagree with you and spend my money elsewhere as well. So thank you for your product, but I can no longer support your company. I will also be telling everyone I come into contact with that Goodyear cares nothing about it's patrons having the right to defend themselves and to choose another brand of tires.

Best thing you can do, if the policy goes against your beliefs.

I've never lived in a place where such signs held any actual force of law, so I've pretty much just gone about my business. In situations where I've noticed the sign, I have generally headed elsewhere. In many cases, I've written to the organization in question and notified them of loss of my business due to that policy.

Unknown whether it has made any real difference, beyond my avoiding funding anti-2A groups and instead doing business with those who respect the Constitution and the right of all people to lawfully carry arms in their own defense.

Good to know. No more Goodyear tires, I suppose. No big loss there.

I am a big BMW guy and do track events occasionally. For my money, the Michelin PS2 has the most grip when I want to be on the ragged edge, but I run (used to run) Goodyears on my Jeep and kids cars. Not anymore.

EDIT: Didn't take 15 minutes to get the same canned response as the OP. Clueless people over there.
