Here we go, I am new to this forum so sorry if this has already been asked before. I live in Indiana and have had my Indiana concealed carry permit for a long time now. Can a Indiana person take a concealed carry class to carry in Ohio?
No, Ohio will not honor your Indiana permit. It will, however recognize a Utah or Florida non-resident permit, should you decide to go to the trouble and expense of obtaining one.

As a further clarification, Ohio does not offer a non-resident license.
You can take a class for a non-resident license for another state, but Ohio will not issue you a non-resident license.
I would look into the requirements for a NH, FL or Utah license, as well as reciprocity issues.

Well, shows what I know. I know a lot of Ohio residents with them though. And that's why I said to check reciprocity.

I have one, as well as one from PA. Between the three, I am good in all states except Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine, California, Colorado, Oregon, Hawaii, New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Connecticut and Maine issue non-resident permits, but I never travel there anymore, and the hoops are more trouble than they are worth.

UT nonresident is honored by OH. Also, gives you WI, which doesn't honor FL.

Did some checking around today and found a guy that gives the FL class here in IN. Thanks all.

Kinda' stinks. We honor Ohio's but not vice versa.
With what is going on now, I doubt we will ever see national reciprocity.

Ohio doesn't honor permits from states whose training requirements for licensing are less than its own. There was a gun bill which had a good chance of passage recently, but its reciprocity clause was deleted at the last minute.
