I am a new CHL in Texas. Who do you tell? Family, friends, boss at work, coworkers, pastor at church?
I think that the fewer that know about it the better but give me your opinion.

I agree, the fewer people that know your business, the better.

Welcome to the forum. Who you tell depends on your level of trust in them.

You tell whoever you feel like telling. If you don't want somebody to know, don't tell them. If you do, tell them. It really is that simple.
Why are you compelled to tell anyone? If you married your wife should know, it's no one else's business.
You can tell your wife and the cop who pulls you over if required by law... other than that, the only other person who finds out is teh bad guy you draw your gun on.
I wear mine openly on my side, if I have to tell you ....well...

Just tell us....nobody else needs to know. I attend function, go out, parties, BBQ's and nobody knows. I dont ever bring up the topic and am happy with that. People will want to see it, talk about it, argue with you...its a private matter for me.

Need to know basis and at your discretion. Me, nobody unless I decide to.
If you tell the wrong one person, you might as well wear it on a T-shirt.
Non-CCers don't seem to grasp the concept of discretion. My CHL-holding family members understand, others not so much.
But, when the cat has gotten out of the bag, it hasn't seemed to hurt me any (yet). I'm not breaking any laws, or anything, when it does get out I don't let any reactions slip.
Your results could vary greatly depending on if you have a rabidly anti boss or something.
