The 26 has always been able to take the mags (not clips) from the 19,17 and accept the 33 rounders.
Ignorance is a long way from stupid, but left unchecked, can get there real fast.

No I think they are just saying all of their 9mm mags will fit into the 26. Nothing new.

All that is saying is that the magazines from those glocks will fit that gun....

To the op, as others have said, on the Glocks, you can go up in capacity on the mags (clips, we know what ya mean so don't sweat it) you just can't go down in length. The higher capacity mags will be sticking out below the mag well further than the normal but will lock in and shoot fine.
Many folks carry the G26 or G19 gun with a spare G17 mag for back up.

Thank goodness I bought the bigger mags for my wifes 26 and my 27 back in the day or forget about it these days
