How can I carry in Colorado?
I have my washington state CPL, but I travel to colorado alot and am unable to carry there. I have already looked into getting a Utah
permit but Colorado ONLY recognizes resident permits of states that accept Colorados permit. Washington does not accept colorado's permit as far as I can tell so that is not an option. So basically there is no way to carry in colorado without moving to utah or a state that honors colorado's permit. Is this true? Thanks

How can I carry in Colorado?
Have you read through the laws at http://handgunlaw.us ?
That would be the first resource to reference, then Colorado laws for in-depth reading.

Out of luck. They don't recognize non-resident permits and they don't honor WA permits. One of those times when the patchwork way the laws work is against us.

As long as your outside of Denver, open carry is legal. Check the area you will be in to see how well it is accepted.

As Archer said. You can open carry outside of Denver. Check there are a few local areas such as Boulder that you might have a problem. Dress reasonably and you should have no problems. Also car carry is allowed without a permit. Enjoy. Also work on Washington state to accept Colorado permits. Been working on a motorcycle trip to the northwest. I have the same problem you have.
