The only common sense gun legislation was written about 224 years ago.

I carry always not because I go places trouble is likely, but because trouble has a habit of not staying in its assigned zone.

I work on a military base, with consent to search (vehicle and person) a condition of entry, so I can't carry at work and can't leave it in my truck.

If i worked anywhere else but a .gov establishment things would be different regardless of company policy.

I own my own business, and as I support the 2A I allow my other two drivers to CC. Only stipulations are that copies of their CPL's are on file with my bookkeeper, they follow local and state laws and obey the shipper and reciever's regulations concerning firearms - and - the first instance of stupidity involving YOUR weapon and MY truck, you're history...

Haven't had a single issue so far......

I'm retired now, but many who worked for me either had or I encouraged them to obtained there CCW. Fortunately for me I've never had to deal with wrong headed policies.

Paramedic. Not allowered per policy. Though I'm at a greater risk than the average person at actually needing it on the job. I know several medics who DO carry tiny ones like the LCP. I don't. I do carry a knife though.

Funny story... a nurse saw me use my knife to cut something the other week and said "Why do you carry a knife at work?" I replied "Because I can't carry my handgun". She then said it really couldn't be THAT dangerous, and then I showed her several recent new stories of Paramedics and EMTs being killed, and reminded her of the fact I go to the same places and deal with the same people that LEOs do.

We can't even have guns in our cars at work. It's grounds for immediate termination.

Thank goodness Texas has a law stating employees are allowed to have their guns in the vehicles and employers can pound sand.

I work out of my house but I have to go to to people's houses as I am representing the company. It has not be said that I can't but if I'm caught with my piece in someone's house I'm sure ill have major issues. My boss knows I have a CCW permit and wants to get his. When I'm in my office she sits right on the desk in plain sight.
