How many permits should you have?
I have a permit for Arizona. I decided on that one because I travel mostly to Arizona and Texas. I have attended the classes and could turn in for a permit for Utah and Florida. I honestly do not know if it is worth the money to do so.
How many permits do you guys have? Is it wise to get multiple?

At the current time I only have 1, Virginia. I did have a PA along with my VA at one point, but since my VA covers my current travels I don't worry about it.

As many as you can for the states that will not recognize your home state permit.
I have a WV permit. Not all states recognize it.
I also have Non Resident New Hampshire permit so I can carry concealed in GA and AL. They don't recognize WV, they will accept a Non-Resident NH.

I shouldn't need a carry permit at all. I'm not a criminal. It's a PITA that I'm required to have one, but that's the world we live in, today.

Is there a reason to get more permits if the state where you are traveling recognizes your home permit?

If where you need to go doesn't honor your TX permit, get one from the state to which you need to go. But why get them, and spend the money, without a legitmate reason? They're not baseball cards.

My Utah permit gets me 34 states. The next time I'm on vacation in Vegas I will get one there too.

How many permits should you have?
Sorry to hijack the topic but I feel its relevant for myself and other newbies to know,
If a lawful permit holder is traveling between states and is forced to pass through a state that does not recognize your permit that would effectively make your carrying illegal, correct?
So it would be wise to plan a road trip accordingly?

Normally, one could unload the gun, lock it in the trunk and be fine (except in Illinois, WA DC, NY, NJ). But check each state's laws before going to make sure.
