This is posted at a local restaurant in Texas. I don't believe this is enforceable. Of course, they can ask me to leave, but I don't think a CHL holder could be prosecuted to this extent. Opinions??Thanks!

The operative word here on your CHL is "license".
Read it carefully........unlicensed possession...........The penalty for unlicensed possession is the same inside as it is outside and the penalty is whatever the law says it is in Texas.
I doesn't say licensed carry is prohibited.
Duhhhhhhh. Sorry to waste your time.
It has to have the specific 30.06 wording. Just walk on by you're legal.
Pretty classy sign, though.
I believe that sign is required to be posted in Texas establishments that serve alcohol. The sign is on most restaurants included those inside the Houston IAH airport.
Boy, I don't know if I have ever been into a place that had signs that fancy... I generally equate signs that fancy with $$$$ of which I only have ¢¢¢
Correct, "unlicensed possession" does not apply to CHLs, as we are indeed licensed.
Correct, but it's also required for businesses that sell alcoholic beverages for off-site consumption as well (grocery store, liquor stores, gas stations/7-11 type joints).
Don't forget the 51% sign. There are quite a lot of establishments that would appear to be restaurants, but are legally classified as a bar based on revenue. Therefore, always be on the lookout for the 51% sign as well.
Classy indeed, but I doubt the bad guys will stop to read it, let alone comprehend it's meaning.
I saw a sign like that is a restaurant and had to take a double take as well. Had to read it 3 times before I saw "unlicensed", then I knew I was OK.
I guess they tack that onto the penalties for mass murder that would be committed by the unlicensed guy who shoots up the place?
There is nothing to enforce, this is not a choice of the owner. If you carry a unlicensed gun into a restaurant that serves alcohol in Texas you are committing a felony, period. 30.06 signs are for CHL holders who are licensed to carry into (non-51%) establishments. This sign is just bureaucratic fluff mandated by the state.
