Congratulations! That's pretty fast. I figured in this anti-2A political climate that all permits would slow to a snail's pace. Especially in a "blue state".

good news on your permit and new gun.
Practice, practice, practice every chance you get practice target recognition, accuracy and concealed carry draw. All 3 are just as important as any of them. There is no sense carrying if you cant hit the broad side of a barn and there is no sense in drawing if you are fumbling with your cloths.
If you have access to a safe place to practice that will allow you to set up combat style targets and attch ballons to them then useing timers with buzzers add a couple of distractions and practice concealed draws hitting 6 out of 6 with no bursted ballons under 4 seconds.
Join a group like IPSC, they will give you valuble training through compititions and practice. it is fun to say the least and gives that important confedence.
And may you never find yourself in a situation where you have to draw.

and another thing DONT tell your friends that you are carrying. In a situation they may give you away by a weird look. After all it no ones business.
