    dumb question needs answering

    does 7 rounds in ny mean on the person, or can you have several guns with 7 rounds in each? I know this is a dumb question.

    To me it means 7 rounds in the gun and 6 mags full of 7 rounds for a total of 49. Go 49ers!!! :)

    Yes you can have several guns. :) Just 7 rounds in the magazine. Topping off is still a grey area according to NYSP.

    Yeah......and they did not outlaw the one in the chamber...7 is restricted to the mag........so now you got 50 on you......carry on

    Just ask the criminal to show you his magazine first to make sure he is in compliance. I am sure they will understand.

    For those who have a limit to the amount of rounds they can carry in a magazine I suggest that you learn to reload very quickly & carry as many mags that you can. I think that will mean that most people will be carrying more rounds on them than they did in the past.
