Like everywhere else, I carry mine aiwb while at the gym. Dress is regular jeans shorts and a t-shirt. I use the nautilus style machines for a complete upper and lower body workout.
Here is why you carry at the gym. 2009 Collier Township shooting - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Same problem here. So I leave my gun locked in my car. If I have to work out after dark I stay home & use my free weights & Air Dyne.
Gyms have a lot of cool stuff but free weights at home can work me to a good nights sleep.

I bought a small Home Gun Safe.
I used the mounting instructions.
Instead of mounting it at home, I mounted it to the
floor of my truck, under the back seat.
I'm sure it "could" be busted open, but anyone trying would be
very very obvious.
I don't leave it in there for extended periods of time, but if
I am running into someplace that you can not carry for a few
minutes/hour, I toss it in.
When I leave it, I try to park in a very visible place, so anyone
messing around would be easily seen

Or you could find a new gym in a better part of town. Then you could feel more comfortable leaving it in a small gun safe.
