Uh, France has some of the strictest gun control laws in the world. Why, then, would 5 police officers (which is what the "attackers" must have been to have had guns) force people off a bus and burn it?

With the reporting of mass attacks on police over there these days - I'd hardly be surprised at any event!!!

Seems that and general vandalism/hoodlum activity is gaining a hold. If they don't crack down and hard - it will continue to escalate IMO.

I'll tell you how they got the guns, they walked up to some members of the french military (I know, I know...french military is an oxymoron) and just told them to surrender which gave the french soldiers (?) a chance to whip out their white flags (standard part of the issued equipment) and hand over their weapons.

Its interesting what they are speaking about. If anyone else speaks French, you should check it out. First hand source as to how some French feel about firearms and the US. In one of their threads, they have several pictures of US Marines with M16 variants. I wonder where the pictures of their military are?
