    My wife just applied for her FIRST CWL in Georgia and received it in 16 days......

    Yep, DMV issues the permit here, it's an endorsement on your Drivers License, or on a non-driver ID. Most people get a second ID so it isn't on their License.

    GA is completely dependent on your county probate court. It appears that counties around metro Atlanta are much slower than other areas in the state. Mine took 41 days in Cobb County.

    St. Louis County only took me 9 days last April. They are required to approve or deny within 45 days by state law.
