Depends on the holster's purpose. If it is a concealment holster I prefer a cant. If it is a duty holster I prefer a straight drop (no cant). Each person is different and what works for me may not work for you. It takes time and practice to see what works.

Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

Four OWB holsters I own are straight-drop/zero cant models. I carry at 3:00. I have two IWB holsters that have the FBI cant and those I wear at 3:30 to 4:00. I find the straight drop holsters faster to draw and present from then a cant holster. That's just me.

I voted yes but honestly its not my holster. About anything I carry is canted because IM canted a few degrees. Happens with enough bumps bangs and old age

A medium to full-size gun is very difficult to conceal with no cant. Non-cant holsters cause guns to print like crazy for me.

To Cant or Not To Cant

Minotaur Neutral Cant at 4:30 to 5:00. Carried in Galco King Tuk for several months. It has a cant, but I don't know the degree. I was plagued with the butt of the gun digging me in the back just under the ribcage. I had adjusted it as far as possible to remove the cant (even to the point of drilling more holes for the clips) and couldn't solve it.

I looked for a IWB, tuckable, for a long time, and finally found this one. It's great for me! Much more comfortable, easier to conceal, and overall a much better holster!!! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1360895776.138947.jpg

I like a cant just for this reason.

It depends on the holster and the carry position, but generally if I'm carrying OWB above my right rear pocket, the holster will be canted so that the butt of the gun is in line with the palm of my hand when I reach for it. That's probably about a 20° cant.

A lot of it will depend on the ccw, a small grip gun doesn't really need much cant while a larger grip/framed one will. I prefer cant on my holsters.
