Good for them. If the other firearm companies follow suit that will effectively end this little trip into tyranny. Unless they would like to arm their LE and other officals with slingshots
It might not be a bad idea to point out that this may well be the response of arms suppliers that supply them as well should they head down this path and support 2A infringement. Just a thought

The actions by many companies to cut off all sales to NY residents is a double edged sword, and in doing so they have directly assisted Gov Dumo in depriving the residents of their rights and also reduced their own possible sales.
I agree that this action would help but only if all gun manufacturers elected to do so. Do you honestly believe Remington will do the same or any other gun company within the state of NY? I can see where it will be an increase in business for those that don't boycott the state, and I am sure there will be many, including the foreign manufacturers.

Chuck Olympic and the others are not refusing to sell legal arms to residents of NY, they cant by law sell illegal arms to them.
What they are doing is refusing to supply the state itself in protest of this stupidity they passed
And yes I do see most arms manufacturers doing the same and falling in line as they catch on and as these companies are pointing out to them that State government is a much smaller percentage of their business than the actual number of residents of a state are.
Capitalism at work if you will. Most gun owners are writing Smith Glock Sig and others to join this effort by York Larue and Olympic. Its only smart for their bottom line to come out publically and forcefully in favor of the right of citizens of a state to purchase arms than to support the states position when its clearly illegal.
A lot of us are watching to see who follows suit and will spend our dollars with those who do, and not with those which dont be it Glock Smith Sig or whoever.

Also note, at the end of the article there is a link to Grassroots of North Carolina webpage with a form letter and the email addreses to the LEO divisions of Sig, S&W, and Glock so you can urge them to follow in the lead of Barrett, Larue Tactical, and York Arms.. its messy, not as slick as the one on Rugers site, but I guess it works.

Think of it this way. The more states that ban their citizens from having or owning weapons of certain type or capacity it hurts those manufacturers sales. Not only will those large populations not be able to buy anything, but there will be a glut of used weapons on the market driving down demand of new product. If the manufacturers boycott selling product to State and Local Government agencies in those States in an effort to get these draconian unconstitutional laws repealed, they are protecting their customer base. This trend is growing and will only get worse if something isn't done to stop it. The big name manufacturers need to all stick together on this and make a concerted effort or they stand to lose big time.

Every firearms-related company needs to evaluate the realities in exactly the same way. In the liberty-hating spots around the country, it's likely to only get worse before the People wake up and smell the cesspool.
Kudos to York Arms for doing what they can to isolate the liberty-haters.
