Got a call a few minutes ago Organization for Action oh boy

So I get home Open a beer ready to relax on a Friday. Now my blood is boiling. Phone rings say hello get a recording from The Organization for Action. Its a recording for some reason I did not hang up right away. They let me know that 80% of the guns in this country are illegal and we need to write and call my rep to control the gun problem in the U.S.. I WISH it would have been a live person on the other end. Anyway what do you know about this organization.
It is really getting bad. This is just sick.

I got an email regarding this. Interestingly enough, it came not long after I got a canned response from Sen. John Cornyn in response to a letter I sent him through the thing that Ruger did.

What the heck does "Demand A Plan" even mean? I don't think they could have picked a more ambiguous catch phrase.
    Don't mess with Texas.

Seriously, don't even think about it.

And in response to this, Todd Schnitt is starting the Organization for ReAction. It is specifically designed to battle this type of drivel.

I up for a plan, just not theirs. They need to plan to leave 2A alone and work on the real issues. Lets get back on track here. this is the Best country in the world and the only way to protect her is with your guns and mine. I know we men and women out there in harms way every day, I was one of them not so long ago. Second to none, was very true for some of us. May God Bless this country again!!!

I can see how they are thinking based upon the report of the OP.

It appears that they (our lying opponents) are going to try to provoke enough anger that some of us may lash out in anger---without thinking what we are doing.

If you can get your opponent angry enough that they just seethe with anger, eventually you can take them down for good.

Let's not buy in to that tactic.

This reaffirms why I haven't had a land line phone number in 5 years.

If you can put up with the junk mail you might consider saying, "Why, yes, sign me up." Then let them continually waste their money by sending you stuff that you immediately send to the round file.

Heck, think how much of their anti-$$ we could siphon off with that tactic.

A little background on this group, it is a 501(C)(4) founded by several Obama campaign operatives. The main difference between a 501(C)(3) and a (C)(4) is that identities of donors to a (C)(4) aren't public record.

You probably got that call because you live in Cleveland since Dems out number Repubs by about 20 to 1 there. They thought they would have a receptive audience. You can bet they won't be calling people in Westlake, Rocky River or Bay Village.

Glad I don't live in Cleveland then.

That's not totally fair, not all them are fanatical antis. Oddly enough, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have both said in interviews that they are gun owners, Tom Selleck (and his awesome mustache) is a proud NRA member also. Of course, the anti celebs suddenly forget their views when they have a role that involves guns and will make them millions...

Oh almost forgot Robert Blake, he had a valid LA county permit and "left his gun in the restaurant" one night while his gold digger wife got popped in the car outside. He got off amazingly. Then there is Phil Spector...

    Then your location is misleading.
