Depends where I'm at......at home carrying....NO....out side the home on my property, not generally although it would probably be the prudent thing to do.....off my property......absolutely.

For my winter edc I usually carry 1 spare as the mags only hold 7 rounds and there's no larger mag available that I know of.
For my summer edc I carry 2 spare mags same deal as winter gun, 7R mags and none larger than 7R.
Yes, always. And 99% of the time I carry two.
One can never tell when a magazine will decide on it's own accord to go legs up.
A back-up magazine to a back-up magazine is cheap insurance.
