What not to do when concealed carrying......happened yesterday

In my local area,a man who was shoplifting was in the process of being caught with a shopping cart full of goods. Upon his apprehension,he bolted for the door and jumped into a car and began to speed off. Another patron who was loading groceries into his own car witnessed the disturbance(news reported that he had a permit),decided to pop off up to 5 shots at the vehicle that was speeding away. LEO's caught shoplifter a couple blocks away and also took the CWP holder into custody for a variety of reckless use of a firearm charges. Wow.........Decisions hastily made

shooting people over groceries, real smart. giving gun owners a bad name, we need more of this clearly, we don't have enough of it yet.

    Situational Awareness

This needs to be addressed by the groups doing concealed carry classes. Most people have little situational awareness. They will continue to give the people that do a bad name. In addition to possibly hurting innocent people.

Agreed, very bad decision on the guy shooting at the vehicle of a shoplifter.

However, I can't help but imagine what the shoplifter was experiencing at that fleeing moment. Here he is about to get away, and someone is shooting at his car, with him in it !!!Maybe he was so focused on getting away, he never fully heard the "pops"? Maybe he needed new drawers? I would have liked to heard his side of his interview with the police.

Bad deal though for the CWP holder.

Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

Yeah.. that's one shooter that needs to lose his permit and be properly prosecuted. There's NO excuse for his actions.

A Deltona man shopping at a Walmart was arrested for shooting a shoplifter's car Wednesday, saying he wanted to mark the vehicle so police could find it, police said.

If he had time to realise what was going on, draw his gun and shoot at the car 5 times, he could have better used that time to note the licence plate...

In my class the instructors were very good at going through the Kansas Laws on carrying and using a ccw. They made it very clear that using your weapon to protect property was not a good shoot..
