dropped mine off on the 13th of feb. still waiting also. But i did talk to somebody that got his in last month in 21 days. that is giving me hope that it won't take the months that they are advertising.

Have you checked on yours lately? When I dropped off app on march 5, they said 120 days from that day. I checked this past week and they said it went in to processing on the 19th and NOW the 120 days start.Originally Posted by luc_buc

I have assisted several in getting their apps processed in the quickest fashion. The wait is not as long as stated when all the paperwork is done correctly. The notorized statements must be within the prescribed time. The application and other items must be properly signed. The photos must be properly signed as required.
Any thing not completed or improper will delay processing. If people would read carefully the requirements for the app, their permits would come back sooner. Going to HQ for the prints speed up things as well but not all live close to Baton Rouge.
A 9mm might expand but a .45acp never shrinks.

Your turnaround time is good news to me as well. I mailed mine off in early March and my expectation was June or July.

Got mine last year -- before this current glut of applications! I mailed it in in December and got it back because I was told to send 1 fingerprint card. It had changed to 2, went to the instructor, got the 2nd set, mailed it and got my CCW permit Feb 4th. About 8 weeks even with the 2nd try. Not too bad. I can't say what it might be during these "dark days."

I dropped my paperwork off on Feb 1st. Still haven't received my permit.
5 other people that I know dropped theirs off on the same day.
Of those 5, 2 of them got their permit in less than 30 days, 2 of them just got their permit last week, and the other is still waiting just like me.
I'm still wondering how the heck 2 of them got theirs in less than 30 days...

I mailed mine in mid Feb. called there about a month and a half later (6weeks). They hadn't even opened the package. A little sweet talking and 2 weeks later it showed up in the mail. They just have piles to go through. Be nice and follow up. They seemed to have added more staff to handle the load.
