    Ccw9mm makes the good point that an individual with CCW carrying his gun is primarily concerned with protecting himself from a crime directed at him, not in saving overall humanity or lowering the national crime rate. If the crime rate is lowered, this is a positive benefit - but it is not the main reason each of us carries.

    In the long run you are responsible for your own individual safety - nobody else will help you at that moment.

    Like I said before More Guns do not solve Crime but the do Prevent it. Guns are a deterent like ccw9 said.

    He's a political hack. Every LEO I know here is in favor of CCW. As our local Sheriff told me, "It's not you guys that concern us"

    I could care a less what some local sheriff (or anyone else for that matter) may or may not think. I’m going to protect myself and my loved ones, period. In general, the police are real good at writing the report after the good guy has been whacked… All of them who I have talked with agree that by the time they arrive, it’s most likely too late.
