    Question Motorcycle carry

Good day all. I have been away a while. Summer here in Michigan will come around eventually, and I once again have a motorcycle. I am concerned about carrying with my Supertuck. What mode of carry would you all suggest that would keep my pistol off of my belt line?

If you wear a vest like I do about all the time shoulder rig works or a gun vest. Iwb works pretty good too. Even with a tshirt

I wear a leather vest that has inside gun pockets designed to handle a gun and like it a lot. I like this setup so much I'm getting a larger vest this season so I can wear it over my jacket during cool weather. I don't use a textile jacket much but when I do I put my gun it in the coat pocket.

Many times I used a shoulder holster with a vertical holster by Fist...this...http://www.fist-inc.com/holsters/holster/70.htm
    Also used this...http://www.fist-inc.com/holsters/holster/42.htm
I'm taking a trip up to see the grandkids in another month, and my Glock-36 will ride in either of the above two...or just a regular holster.

Additionally, nothing wrong with a regular IWB/OWB holster either, mine always stayed right in place.

I don't ride, but when I was a patrolman for a local department I noticed a rather large amount of riders carrying in crossdraw rigs. In fact I noticed a fellow in our local super market with one on the other day. It may just be a local thing here, but I thought it was worth mentioning to you.

I just carry IWB like always. I have a riders backrest, so my t-shirt stays down. I have considered getting a left handed shoulder holster and still have not ruled out that idea. That would be as a bug carry option since I have less problem riding with my left hand off the handlebar than I do with my right hand off the handlebar.

I use an old Jackass Leather (now GALCO) shoulder rig, called Miami Classic. Carry a 1911 under my left arm, two spare mag's under the right arm. Works well with tee shirt under it, and another shirt over it, or when wearing vest and/or leather jacket. Can draw it with one hand, but reholstering is problematic while riding.

I've only done that once, while riding the bike, and it was an instinctual thing, that I regretted later. I was easing out of my driveway when a water moccasin slithered across the road towards my pond. Before I knew it, my pistol was in my hand, and then I had to figure out how to stop my bike on a gravel driveway, with only one hand on the controls. This is not advisable on a 900 pound Harley Davidson. LOL Won't be doing that again.

    Be safe.

Thanks all. Of course I looked and saw the very same question asked recently. Maybe the admin can delete my post. Or combine the replies with the other one so the answers can be viewed later.

Do you have a link to the vest you bought?

I mounted a holster on the training wheels.

Vest is lined, my preference, and the gun pockets are reinforced with a snap closures. Rocky's is located in Flint, hope this helps. Good luck on what every you decide.

I carry my Glock 19 in a surpa and my t shirt coat or vest cover it pretty well. I am not too worried if it shows a little as we have open carry in OHIO.

This is as good a place as any for my first post.

I carry in an ankle rig. I have a IWB that I can't stand to carry (my body shape is...fat...). It's heavy and uncomfortable and I feel very self conscious about it. The ankle rig is perfect. I can wear my normal pants, in the correct size, and I forget it's there after 15 minutes or so. I have thought long and hard about how I want to carry. I accept the slightly more difficult access for the level of conceal-ability that I get from the ankle. My vest also has open sides, so you can see the gun plain as day when I carry IWB. Personal choice, but if you haven't tried an ankle holster, check it out. Mine is a De Santis.
