Sweat doesn't really effect my revolver, but pocket lint does.

It seems to be worse when I carry it in a tuckable more than pocket carry.

I give it a surface cleaning once a week

I clean all my handguns once a month (fired or not) and once a week if I carried it.. Probably overkill, but they are like my babies.

Surface cleaning every few days, more frequently if I see clear gunge on the outside. Weekly function/lube check for pocket-carried pistols; usually a bit longer than that for hip-carried pistols. All are well holstered, keeping much of the muck off the guns. When pocket carried, pocket lint can be a problem. But then, cleaning out the pockets daily helps cut lint to a minimum.

My carry method is a belt carry as well. I will, however, give my carry guns a quick wipe-down about once per week and do an inspection whilst doing it. It's an old habit from my cop days....

I'm not sure what kind of holster I would be using for sweat to be an issue

That's the great thing about carrying a Glock; I just wear it all the time and the shower cleans it off pretty well. Plus I don't think it actually sweats all that much. I'm carrying it, so it just rides along in leisure.

Depends on the gun. I could care less about my Glocks. But my Colts get a good oily wiped down every few days, and field stripped after every range out, a detail upper strip and clean about every 3 months.

Unless fired, an oil swab through the barrel and chambers once a month does it for me. Rarely see lint and pocket carry exclusively.

After 3 years in humid Florida, never. I always wear a wicking tee shirt and holsters with a sweat guard so my guns never get wet from m sweat. Plus as a senior citizen I no longer spend long periods of time outdoors so I am mostly in air conditioned places. :) The only time I had to dry a gun was when I got caught in a rain storm.

At least 2 times a month I give them a quick inside and out clean. My Glock 32 is compinsated so it gets lint in the barrel so ill run a patch through it once a week. I find it relaxing, besides I love the smell of a clean gun.
