Hey guys, just a quick plug for anyone that is interested in getting their CCW in California. I know CA gets a bad rap for CCW issuance from alot of people but it can be done. Some counties are pretty much impossible, others are almost shall issue and even others are in fact shall issue.
I originally applied for my CCW permit at the beginning of this year and was denied because of lack of good cause. I pretty much gave up at that point.
A few months later I stumbled upon http://californiaccw.org
The advice I got from the members was outstanding. With their help, I rewrote my Good Cause and today I picked up my permit.
Our site is a bit different from other similar sites (such as this one) in that the main goal is to promote and encourage CCW issuance within the state of California. We hold ourselves to a very high standard as what we say/post and do can either have a negative or positive effect on how the rest of the population views CCW permit holders. To the uneducated/uninformed we are nothing but gun crazy individuals. The fact is that we come from all walks of life. We have attorneys, Realtors, Republicans, Democrats, even a secret celebrity as members.
It is extremely difficult in some areas to get your CCW. You can do one of two things. Move or get invloved. Become a voice of change. The more individuals we have on our side the better chance we have at CCW reform.
