Is there anything I am forgetting?

Leaving for Tennessee next week for vacation. Already know they accept my Missouri CCW and Tennessee State Police has given me the OK to carry in the smoky mountains. Is there anything else I am forgetting? Even if it's obvious to you, it could be news to me. For example, NO "crime" is committed in Missouri when I carry in a place that posts "no guns" or "no weapons" as long as I leave if asked. (Not including where federal law prohibits) What is Tenn's take on this? Anything else I need to consider?

If I were you I'd read up on the regs for Smoky Mtn. National park. Those rangers can be sticklers.

If you haven't already, go to Handgunlaw.us and print out the pages for each state you will be traveling through and staying in. Put them in a binder and keep them in your vehicle for reference.

No gun signs carry legal weight in TN and can get you a criminal charge, find them in lots of restaurants. Carry in National Parks is legal as far as I know whether rangers like it or not.

No gun signs carry weight of law and parks that are owned by cities or towns can impose thier own rules about whether carrying is legal or not independant of state law.

There are many things to consider when traveling thru different states. Where you can carry, where you can't, resiprocity, duty to inform or not, magazine capacity, and the list goes on. I would suggest that you go online to the gun laws of each state you will be passing through, and print them out. Then, read them and take them with you to refresh your memory from time to time.

Also, if you go out to eat you have to go to Calhoun's Restraunt. It's a must when going there, best ribs you can imagine!
