WA Drops FL, Maine Permit Info Private, WV to Honor More

The Washington State Attorney General has removed Florida from the list of states it honors. Florida has not removed Washington from the list of states it honors but will in the very near future. FL will honor anyone who honors them. Washington is stating this for the Reason: Allows under 21-yrs-old honorably discharged veterans to have license.
    Concealed Weapon Reciprocity
Concealed Carry Reciprocity - Division of Licensing, FDACS

The Maine Governor signed a bill making Permit/License Information private. More states have bills in that would make the information on who has a Permit/License private after names and addresses were published in NY.

West Virginia has changed their reciprocity law. They will now honor anyone who honors them. That means WV in the coming months should add Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska Nevada & Wisconsin as states they honor as these states already honor WV. Colorado, Georgia and Alabama should also be added to the WV list as these states will honor anyone who honors them. WV Does not honor any of the listed states above yet but should in the coming months.

Handgunlaw.us will be updated with the above changes in the states laws and how they honor one another later this evening.

Kind of a pointless more on WA's part. If WA law says no one under 21 period, then those military under 21 with FL licenses would have to observe WA law when there. Regardless of state, you must observe the laws of the state you're in.

Also, FL does not honor "non"-resident permits. You must be a resident of the state whose permit you possess.

Hmmmm, looks like it's anothed step backward for a state panned-out reciprocity now doesn't it?

Washington is heavily influenced by DC, just as Illinois is heavily influenced by Chicago. Both areas are liberal anti-american strongholds.

One of these things is not like the other...................

I get the Chicago relationship to Illinois. I'm scratching my head on the state of Washington relationship to DC.

The liberal paradise you allude to as my state are actually only located along the I-5 corridor between Olympia and Everett, and a few small enclaves of elitists her and there in other locales.

The vast geographical area of our state are diehard conservative...just out numbered and held slave to the archaic electoral college system that gives a state to a winner-take-all scheme, instead of allowing each vote to count.

I often wonder if the liberals are drawn to the cities, or the cities create the liberals. Kind of a chicken or the egg thing. Only with the liberals, I think it might be both feed off of one another.

Help me out with this one. The District of Columbia influences the State of Washington in a way similar to how Chicago influences Illinois?

If you are a Veteran that has been honorably discharged, you shouldn't even need a permit to carry...ANYWHERE.

Tell ya what Bubba...come to Skagit County. Thar's where I hang my hat. I can show ya some way cool places like Sedro Woolley and Lyman and Concrete. Plus there's a way cool Marine Hardware store on the main drag in Anacortes. The closest Indoor/Outdoor Range is down by Arlington (another cool lil town BTW IMHO) it's about 23-25 miles from my place.

Tangochuck and me don't cotton to alla crap coming outta Oly (Capital). Don't blame alla us for the pukes along the I-5 corridor OK???

I could show ya Kesselring Guns...world famous LGS started by Mr Kesselring in 1947. I was in there a month ago they had a Mint 45.70 Gatling Gun in brass for $47,000 w/tripod.

Lotta Conservatives in WA, just most are on the East side, what they call the Inland Empire. We ain't all Commies!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a Washingtonian the past 23 years, I can attest to the comments by my fellow WA citizens. We enjoy our open carry almost anywhere... We even slap down laws by our city of Seattle mayor's attempt at stopping carry in parks, etc. We are doing our job of keeping our guns free. Not sure where the info is about the comparison is all about but the last thing we want to be known for is being in lock step with the other Washington. We are the free side despite being on the left coast.

As far as the dropping of FL, that one makes zero sense to me and I am sure we gun folk will be talking to our representatives (and those that don't represent us) about getting back to reality.

    Rant over...
