And it's a good gun law for a change!
I'm sorry if this has already been covered somewhere, but I find this to be a breath of fresh air. One of the residents/council members says that criminals feel "uncomfortable" in their town where ~80% of the population owns firearms, and they want to keep it that way. This law follow the town in Georgia saying everyone must own a firearm unless they have a religious or personal problem with it. I applaud these folks because it doesn't necessarily FORCE everyone to own a gun but it strongly encourages the proper legal ownership, safety, training (I think), and maintenance.
