Im here in KY as well and carry at those locations on a regular basis.
There is no way to check sales and such, but I just use common sense. If the establishment is part of a large chain and clearly does a large amount of food business then I consider myself safe.
If I am say at a small local restaurant which I feel could be on the "line" then I leave my rig in the glove box. Better to be safe then sorry.
If I am drinking or know that I will be drinking then the rig stays at home and I take other precautions.

i figured as much, but wasnt sure, thanks for the info........
If you were ever questioned, it would probably help for appearance's sake if you were sitting in the "dining area" versus the "bar area" of these types of restaurants.
Just a little "food" for thought!

They are here in SC... who, in it's infinate wisdom, outlawed any place that serves alcohol for on site consumption. I envy you guys!
Kentucky is very conservative on its carry.I do feel fortunate to live here as far as carrying..But everywhere has its limits. Just gotta get use to where they are. Thanks to all.
Same thing for NC - alchohol served and consumed = no carry.![]()
Walk steathly - and carry a big Springfield.
Ditto for Tennessee: alcohol for on-site consumption=no CCW.
Those places are fine. Pretty much it's bars you have to worry about. If it's a restaurant that also sells alcohol, it's going to make 50% or more revenue from food.
If it's a bar that sells some wings on the side, it's a bar, so it'll probably be off-limits.
