MI Electronic Fingerprints
The electronic fingerprint process in Michigan really speeds up the process. For me, it was 26 days from application to approval and issue! Light years ahead of what it formally was with the fingerprint cards.
The people in Washtenaw County Gov't are very helpful and friendly.

Question from someone without a permit yet: Is the new fingerprint system common now, or only a select few places? Just wondering.. long as I am carrying by next summer I will be happy

Oregon (at least at my county Sheriff's office) uses the electronic digipad. All fingers. No ink. Pretty quick.

Our School District...
uses the electonic fingerprint process to check backgrounds for new employees...takes less than an hour to get a response...usually...
It is quick...but...how long the response sits on someone's desk is another question!

Yep, I used the electonic fingerprints in Oakland County here in Michigan and had my license in 16 days.

Probably depends on the county...The county I'm in has been using the "E-prints" for 3 yrs. When I got printed I was told it would be 2 months till I hear from the gun board. We will see:)

I imagine most counties have the electronic print system now. I live up north in MI and my county is poor and uses it.
