    What would you ?????

Just received a non-resident permit for VA . The date on the permit is one day off from my birthday . Should i send it back and have them correct it or is it something that is not a big deal .
I hate the idea of sending it back but i don't want any problems either .

You could call and ask them what they would advise you to do.

Two questions. Why do you think it would be a problem? And, do you read Fabricator magazine (National Ornamental Metals and Miscellaneous Association)?

First i thought if i got stopped in VA. the Leo might see a different BD on my driver's Lis. then my permit.

As far as the magazine i am not familar with that publication , we do get alot of trade mags. here . We buy all of our rail supplies from King Arctect. Products based out of Texas

Not sure about VA, but a (MD) friend of mine had same problem on his Utah permit. He called them and they said they'd said one right out with the right bday. No hassles, no problems.

Typical government employees. Slow and stupid.
I'm just a spoke in the wheel but not a big deal.

Ha, my ex had some dimwit in the DMV put her wrong BD in, and as a result couldn't file US taxes electronically. She had a heck of a time getting it fixed. They dropped off a '4' on the day. She had to take in an original birth cert. IIRC, even though it was their fault. I'd call and get it fixed. The last thing you want is an irregularity.

I'd give them a call. More than likely not a problem, but better safe than sorry.

As to the mistake. If your application was hand written, they may have mistaken the date you wrote. I've seen a lot of 5's that looked like a 6, and a lot of people mistake my 8 for a 9.

Sometimes beaureaucrats that don't like something make "accidental" errors in paperwork that requires the process start over again. Just saying...
