Finally found the cure for my "Signess"

Interesting story. My FedEx overnite turned into FedEx second day air. Turned into USPS second day air. That in turn led to it being delivered to wrong place. So I had to drive to the post office to recieve it. On the way back to my LGS, I called the wife and contemplated just taking it home lol. Turned it in to my LGS and now have to wait 10 days to clear DROS. Gun was supposed to be here on the 31st. It was unaccounted for from the 30th to this morning.

However, in the end it is here, it is sexy and it is all mine!!...in 10 days :/ lol

Can't wait to get her home, break her down, scrub her out, put her together and then to good use!!

My wife would like to take the opportunity now to thank you guys for helping to lighten my wallet!

I guess I'm confused. If you purchased it new, how was it shipped to you and not to the dealer? If it was coming back from factory repairs, why does it have to go to the dealer, unless a new frame was installed?

Woah! If it made it through USPS then I think someone got lucky. Sounds like something got really screwed up somewhere. Glad it's at the LGS and all seems OK. Congrats!

Its brand new but it wasn't shipped to me. It was addressed to the dealer on base. USPS through just delivered it to the post office on base. Dealer gave me the deer in the headlights look when I told him it was there. So I had to go to the post office and got the package just cause I inquired about it (wasn't addressed to me in anyway) and then returned it to the dealer.

    Now its in DROS

Yea USPS failed to follow quite a few laws in their delivery process. LOL

Not on my end of things. USPS obviously doesn't know how to deliver packages to correct addresses

I got my 229 about 6 mos. ago. Let us know how she shoots. I haven't had a chance to fire mine yet due to excessive traveling, but I sure love the way it feels.

Congrats! Did the LGS have any questions about the strong aroma of burn gunpowder?
