There will be many more. Two local officers I am personal friends of will soon be added to the list for Randolph County.

Looks like the IL CC ball is rolling... Painfully slow mind you, but rolling none the less.

What was the deadline that the state had to meet to get the instructors certified? It seems like this is moving along much quicker than I thought it would.

As of last night there were 7 listed. It looks like if your application is in order and you have met all reqs they are approving without too much of a delay.

Now we have to get the course curriculum approved. Several groups are making up packages. When they get approved they will be providing the packages for a nominal price.

If its only 4 people it will take years before everyone finally got there Illinois ccw permit (good god it feels weird just typing that) Hopefully there will be more certified instructors. The guys at my local range said they will be doing all the certifications for us to get are Illinois conceal carry permits.

There were 4 for Cook Co approved last week. There will be many more in the following weeks.

Actually 7. Remove the county name from the search function and search again. Of course even 7 so far sucks.

What I am waiting to hear is if prior NRA certified training will satisfy some of the 16 hour requirement. I have 8 hours and if I don't have to do that part again it would save time and money.

If the state of Illinois was moving any slower on this they'd be going backwards.

I can't decide if it pisses me off or makes me happy that Cook county is leading with the most instructors so far. lol

That is probably because they have the highest population in the state. Odds are they will have more instructors and have them sooner.
